Plantar fasciitis. It is an inflammation of the plantar fascia that lines the underside of your foot muscles. It is very rigid and doesn't like to stretch. Hopefully they gave you some physical therapy! As you probably already know, it can cause debilitating pain and if left untreated can get extremely painful to the point that you won't want to walk. I am glad that you are taking care of it! Gotta be able to chase the grandkids!

After years of putting up with pain in my foot especially when 1st setting foot out of bed, I thought about time to see the doc.And was eventually diagnosed with Plantar fasciitis. Had physio and have to wear insoles, slowly getting better,slightly less pain.Quote:

In additiong to my usual ailments - high blood pressure, high cholesterol (sp?), blood thinners to guard against another stroke, glaucoma etc., in the past two month I have made four trips to my podiatrist for something called pantars/fachitis (don't know the correct spelling for this one either & am too lazy ti check it in the dictionary) & was told that it is healing-slowly

d=squared - My daughter is a Physical Therapist & she gave me some exercises to do & I do them faithfully, every day & it is slowly healing but since I am NOT a patient person, it isn't going fast enough to suit me but I still do them.
Sean - I wish I could be glad that we have something in common but, given a choice, I would not have picked this to be it!!!!!
